Abstract
The article discusses the preservation efforts for Jain heritage in India, highlighting the role of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in maintaining 3,685 monuments of national importance. The government, under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK), has initiated significant conservation projects at the Centre for Jain Manuscriptology at Gujarat University and the Centre for Jain Studies at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) in Indore, aimed at promoting Jainism and supporting academic research. Additionally, a year-long centenary celebration for Acharya Vidyanand Ji Maharaj will feature various cultural and educational programs. The Gyan Bharatam Mission is also focused on digitizing one crore manuscripts, including those related to Jain heritage, to enhance accessibility and research opportunities.
