Abstract

India's Human Development Index (HDI) progress is marked by regional and socioeconomic disparities. While states like Kerala excel in healthcare and education, others like Bihar struggle with poor infrastructure and limited access to services. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated healthcare improvements, yet rural disparities persist. Similarly, the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has driven reforms, but literacy gaps remain. Ineffective governance and policy execution hinder progress. Addressing these challenges requires better data collection, stronger regional capacity, and integrated healthcare-education strategies. Prioritizing equitable access, economic opportunities, and social inclusion will ensure sustainable development and a more inclusive future for all. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
