Abstract
A recent study conducted by Tufts University focused on understanding mental health and access to mental healthcare among Brazilian immigrant women in the United States. The research found that despite high levels of depressive symptoms, only one-third of participants sought care for their mental health. The study highlighted the need for efforts to address systemic, interpersonal, and individual barriers to seeking mental healthcare among Brazilian women. This research was funded by Tisch College Community Research Center and the NIH National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences. [Extracted from the article]
