Abstract
The article focuses on the mental health challenges faced by young people identified as the "sandwich generation," particularly in Indonesia, where 16.3% of Generation Z young workers support themselves, their nuclear families, and their parents simultaneously. This dual responsibility increases their risk of stress, depression, anxiety, and loneliness, exacerbated by financial pressures and social isolation. The article emphasizes the need for policies and mental health services tailored to this group's unique circumstances, highlighting the importance of financial literacy, social support, and professional counseling. It also calls for collaboration among practitioners, policymakers, and academics to develop effective interventions that promote mental well-being and resilience among young sandwich generation members.
