Abstract

The article focuses on the operational and production activities of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) oil and gas field in the first quarter of 2026. ACG’s participating interests include bp (operator, 30.37%), SOCAR (35.30%), MOL, INPEX, ExxonMobil, TPAO, and ONGC Videsh. During this period, ACG maintained stable oil production averaging about 325,000 barrels per day across multiple platforms and drilled several new wells, including oil producers, water injectors, and a gas injector. The field also delivered approximately 12 million cubic meters per day of associated gas to Azerbaijan and advanced its non-associated gas (NAG) development with a successful appraisal well targeting the Qirmaki Upper and Lower Sand reservoirs, with initial NAG production planned for 2026.
