Abstract

The article discusses how remote work can actually strengthen bonds between coworkers by providing glimpses into each other's nonwork lives, fostering trust and authenticity. While some companies are mandating a return to the office for in-person collaboration, research shows that remote work does not necessarily decrease productivity and can lead to happier employees. The study suggests that virtual interactions during remote work can make employees see each other as more authentic, trustworthy, and human, ultimately strengthening personal and professional bonds.
