Abstract
An undersea volcano near Oregon, known as Axial Seamount, is showing signs of imminent eruption, with researchers predicting it may happen in 2025. The volcano's activity has been closely monitored for the past decade, allowing scientists to observe signs such as swelling and seismic activity that indicate magma movement. Forecasting volcanic eruptions is challenging, but the extensive monitoring data and knowledge of Axial's behavior provide valuable insights for predicting future events. Researchers hope to improve forecasting methods based on the physics and chemistry of magma systems underlying volcanoes like Axial Seamount. [Extracted from the article]
