Abstract
The ABA House of Delegates adopted a resolution urging the implementation of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) to the U.S. Constitution during its 2024 Annual Meeting in Chicago. The resolution was sponsored by various organizations and emphasized that a deadline for ratification of an amendment is not consistent with the Constitution. The legal community and all levels of government were encouraged to support ERA implementation. Various speakers, including ERA champion Linda Coberly, advocated for the resolution at the meeting.
