Abstract

This article presents three skills—adaptability, contextual problem-solving, and empathy—leaders need to be successful in the current work environment. The author pulls information from her book “When Women Lead: What They Achieve, Why They Succeed, and How We Can Learn from Them” where interviews were conducted with over 100 female chief executive officers and company founders to develop this list of new traits all leaders should exhibit.
