Abstract
The article focuses on how global information sharing can enhance efforts to combat cybercrime, which poses a significant threat to the global economy and security due to its transnational nature and complex criminal ecosystems. It highlights the Cybercrime Atlas project, an initiative hosted by the World Economic Forum’s Partnership Against Cybercrime, designed to create a comprehensive database that aggregates diverse data sources to map and analyze cybercriminal networks. By providing multiple views of the cybercrime ecosystem, the Atlas aims to identify vulnerabilities, improve coordination between public and private sectors, and support targeted law enforcement actions. Although still in its prototype stage as of mid-2023, the project seeks to reduce cybercrime’s economic impact and help maintain trust in the digital ecosystem.
