Abstract

Spouses and children of international social care staff will no longer be allowed to accompany them to the UK – unless the worker earns above £29,000 a year – under new government policy set to come into force in the spring. This policy is, to put it mildly, contentious. I would even go so far as to say that not allowing care workers to bring their families with them to the UK is cruel. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
