Abstract
This article focuses on an interdisciplinary sociolegal model developed at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile to improve equitable access to justice for vulnerable populations by integrating legal and social work services. The model emphasizes structured interdisciplinary supervision and user-centered collaboration, enhancing ethical decision making, role clarity, and resilience among law and social work students while addressing clients' legal and psychosocial needs holistically. Pilot implementation demonstrated high user satisfaction, improved student competencies, and reduced professional burnout, aligning with international practices such as those at the Bronx Defenders and the Florence Project. The model's adaptability to diverse sociolegal contexts and its potential for sustainable interdisciplinary collaboration are highlighted, alongside recommendations for institutionalization, specialized training, and ongoing evaluation to support broader application and continuous improvement.
