Abstract
The Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has launched two anti-submarine warfare shallow watercraft for the Indian Navy. The vessels are 78.0 mt long, 11.36 mt wide, and have a displacement of about 900 tonnes. They are designed to fit indigenously developed SONARS for underwater surveillance and have a maximum speed of 25 knots and endurance of 1,800 nautical miles. These ships are part of a series of eight being constructed by CSL for the Indian Navy to replace the in-service Abhay class ASW Corvettes. [Extracted from the article]
