Abstract
The article focuses on a study conducted in Bacau, Romania, examining the relationship between personality traits, coping mechanisms, and self-efficacy among incarcerated individuals. Utilizing the Freiburg Personality Inventory, COPE Inventory, and Self-Efficacy Scale, the research involved 857 inmates and found that factors such as age, sex, and duration of incarceration influenced self-efficacy and coping strategies. High emotionality scores were linked to reduced self-efficacy, while shorter incarceration periods correlated with more effective coping mechanisms. The study emphasizes the need for tailored correctional programs that consider these psychological factors to support inmate rehabilitation. [Extracted from the article]
