Abstract

The article discusses a study conducted by researchers at the University of Ottawa that examines whether sexual attraction to specific targets changes over a person's lifetime. The study involved a systematic review of 24 longitudinal studies, which included data from 11,943 participants, and found that 18% of individuals reported changes in their sexual attractions over a median period of approximately 20 months. The research highlights the need for clearer definitions and better measurement of sexual attraction, as the Kinsey scale was the most frequently used measure in the studies reviewed. The findings suggest implications for future research in the field of human sexuality. [Extracted from the article]
