Abstract
The Southern Ute Indian Tribe has filed a lawsuit against the State of Colorado, claiming the right to engage in online sports betting. The Tribe argues that the Tribal-State Compact allows them to operate any form of legal gaming in Colorado, as long as it does not exceed what is commercially available. However, Governor Jared Polis disagrees and insists that the Tribe obtain a state license for sports betting. The Tribe is seeking the Court's interpretation of the Compact, an injunction against state interference, and reimbursement for legal costs. [Extracted from the article]
