Abstract

The University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC) is committed to ensuring an inclusive curriculum that reflects diversity, equity, and inclusion. To achieve this, UAGC has developed the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Course Audit Rubric, which assesses the extent to which DEI principles are incorporated into the curriculum. The rubric consists of nine standards and 29 indicators, and each criterion is evaluated using five levels of representation. The review process involves both a faculty subject matter expert and an external reviewer, who provide feedback and suggestions for improvement. The goal is to continuously improve the curriculum and create an environment where all students feel seen and heard. UAGC is also working on providing resources and professional development opportunities for faculty to address neurodiversity and cognitive differences. [Extracted from the article]
