Abstract
"Abortion pills go global: reproductive freedom across borders" by Sydney Calkin explores the movement and politics of abortion pills across borders, starting with the US Supreme Court's overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022. The book examines the social and political impact of abortion pills in India, Northern Ireland, Poland, the Republic of Ireland, and the US. It highlights how abortion pills have changed the ways people have abortions and how states attempt to restrict access to them. The book argues that abortion pills and the actors who move them are agents of progressive political change, challenging preconceived notions and contributing to global social movements and reproductive justice.
