Abstract

A reprint of the article "Do You Hate Your Boss?" by Manfred F.R. Kets de Vries, which appeared in the December 2016 issue, is presented. The author suggests several ways employees can improve or change their relationship with their managers, including practicing empathy, engaging in introspection, and recognizing the influence of transference. Additional options are proposed if the situation fails to improve.
