Abstract
The article focuses on a study examining the impact of digital micro-dramas on active aging among the elderly. Conducted by researchers from Neijiang Normal University in China, the study utilizes the theory of active aging to analyze how the content characteristics of micro-dramas—specifically narrativity, emotional resonance, and interactivity—affect psychological health and social participation. Through a questionnaire survey of 705 elderly individuals, the findings indicate that these content features positively influence active aging, with emotional engagement and social connectedness serving as mediating variables. The research highlights the potential of digital micro-dramas to enhance the well-being of older adults and offers insights for improving digital cultural services aimed at this demographic.
