Abstract

The article focuses on fostering a professional school culture that supports continuous teacher growth through the development of seven key "habits of mind" essential for effective teaching. These habits include openness to learning, metacognition, problem-solving, communication, creativity, responsible risk-taking, and persistence. To cultivate these habits, schools should explicitly teach them, provide positive reinforcement, create opportunities for deliberate practice, and establish coherent professional development systems tailored to teachers’ strengths and needs. Emphasizing these practices within a collaborative and reflective school environment aims to enhance teacher effectiveness over time, ultimately improving educational outcomes.
