Abstract
This article focuses on Justin Jacob Louis, a fashion designer and proud member of the Samson Cree Nation, who creates Indigenous-inspired menswear through his two brands: the streetwear label SECTION 35 and his eponymous menswear line. Celebrating SECTION 35’s 10th anniversary, Louis’s Spring Capsule collection features designs inspired by nature and Indigenous cultural motifs, including a camouflage pattern based on Devil’s club. His recently launched menswear capsule draws on personal and cultural imagery such as stars, the moon, and horses, reflecting his connection to his community and environment. Louis emphasizes integrating Indigenous culture and identity into contemporary fashion through subtle and meaningful design elements. [Extracted from the article]
