Abstract
Clare and John Officer, a couple originally from the United Kingdom, purchased their first dairy farm in New Zealand and participated in the Carbon Neutral Dipton study. Through the study, they made changes to their farming system that significantly reduced their greenhouse gas emissions. They implemented practices such as planting trees, adjusting their cropping system, and rearing dairy beef calves. The couple found that there is no one solution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, but rather a combination of changes that need to be considered. They also learned about the trade-offs and challenges associated with implementing sustainable farming practices. [Extracted from the article]
