Abstract
This article examines how Palestinian feminist organizing in Gaza functions as a dynamic social determinant of health within the context of settler colonialism and political violence. Drawing on interviews with 16 Palestinian feminists from diverse disciplines, the study highlights feminism as a collective, culturally rooted practice that builds empowerment, safety, education, economic opportunity, leadership, and equality for women, thereby promoting individual and community well-being despite ongoing occupation and military aggression. The findings emphasize that gender-related health inequities in settler colonial settings are not fixed but are actively challenged through feminist activism, which also fosters resilience and social justice. The work underscores the importance of interdisciplinary, community-based approaches to addressing health disparities linked to political and social oppression in conflict zones.
