Abstract

The article focuses on areas where epidemiologist and other health scholars can advance the application of intersectionality theory in health research. Topics include a study which examined social policy co-occurrence and identified threats to causal inference, increased examination of the health effects of immigration policies at federal, state, and local levels, and effort required to address the effects of intersecting systems of oppression that threaten the health of marginalized groups.
