Abstract

The article reports on the gathering of more than 1,500 people in the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center in Dearborn, Michigan, for the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee's (ADC's) annual conference, ArabCon. The theme of the conference is "We've been here before--but history doesn't define us; it propels us forward." Participants observed intensified attacks on Arab Americans, Muslims, immigrants, and others.
