Abstract
The article discusses the potential decline of generative AI and the risks associated with its proliferation. It highlights the flood of synthetic content on the internet and the negative consequences of AI models training on their own outputs. The article also explores the broader implications of this issue, including the threat to the authenticity of digital platforms and the need for fair compensation for human creativity. It suggests three pillars for addressing the problem: fair compensation, agency and transparency for creators, and resolving the challenge of distinguishing human content from synthetic content.
