Abstract
The owners of the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks, the Reinsdorf and Wirtz families, are planning a $7 billion real estate development around the United Center. The project aims to revitalize the neighborhood by creating a multi-use space with a music hall, park, hotels, and retail spaces. The development will be built over 10 years and will replace existing parking lots. The project has the support of Mayor Brandon Johnson's office and West Side Alderman Walter Burnett.
