Abstract

Salma Hayek Pinault, the actress and producer, is known for her love of food and family. In a new Spanish-language movie called El Sabor de la Navidad (The Taste of Christmas), Hayek Pinault explores the themes of food and family during the holiday season. The film tells three intersecting stories and aims to tell modern and meaningful stories about the Latin community. Hayek Pinault herself celebrates the holiday season with her blended family, spreading out the celebrations over multiple days and incorporating traditions from both her Mexican and French backgrounds.
