Abstract

ScoopIt's a bird! It's a plane! It's the most expensive comic ever sold! A copy of 1939's Superman No. 1 sold for $9.12 million on Nov. 20, smashing the previous $6 million record, set last year by a sale of Supe's 1938 introductory comic. Three brothers discovered the issue along with five other well-preserved vintage comics under a pile of newspapers while they were cleaning their late mother's San Francisco attic in 2024.PHOTO (COLOR) [Extracted from the article]
