Abstract
On Feb. 7 in Los Angeles, LeBron James of the Lakers hit a 14-ft. fadeaway jump shot over Kenrich Williams of the Oklahoma City Thunder with 11 seconds left in the third quarter, to score his 36th point of the game and 38,388th point of his 20-year career, and pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the NBA's all-time scoring list. What perhaps separates James from Michael Jordan in the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) debate is his all-around play. The all-time scoring record now belongs to a man for whom scoring was never his standout skill. [Extracted from the article]
