Abstract
Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo is reimagining the Olympics by prioritizing sustainability and transforming the city. Instead of traditional Olympic ceremonies, athletes will float on boats down the Seine River, and iconic landmarks like the chateau of Versailles and the Eiffel Tower will serve as competition sites. Hidalgo's environmental agenda has garnered praise globally, but she has faced criticism from some Parisians who perceive her as arrogant and out of touch. Despite this, Hidalgo sees the Olympics as an opportunity to showcase her city's transformation and her own career. [Extracted from the article]
