Abstract
The article focuses on recent advancements and collaborations in storage and cybersecurity technologies for scientific research and professional sports. Cerabyte GmbH joined CERN openlab to develop sustainable, ceramic-based long-term data storage solutions inspired by ancient media, aiming to support CERN’s extensive data archival needs from the Large Hadron Collider. Additionally, Acronis International GmbH and Sentry Computing partnered with the Seattle Mariners to enhance cybersecurity and data protection through integrated backup and recovery solutions. The article also highlights new product launches, including Winbond Electronics’ W25N01KW QspiNAND flash memory designed for low-power IoT devices, and Samsung Electronics’ mass production of ultra-thin LPDDR5X DRAM packages optimized for on-device AI and improved thermal management in mobile devices.
