Abstract

The article discusses research on the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in improving mental health among male bodybuilding athletes. Conducted at Ilam University in Iran, the study utilized a quasi-experimental design with a sample of 30 athletes divided into experimental and control groups. Results indicated a significant improvement in mental health for those receiving ACT interventions, while no significant change in body image was observed. The findings suggest that sports managers and coaches could implement ACT to help reduce negative emotions in athletes. [Extracted from the article]
