Abstract

This article analyzes the training concepts and coaching strategies of Coach Chen Wenbing, a prominent figure in international weightlifting, to provide insights for developing young coaches. Chen’s athlete-centered framework integrates three core theories: the scientific control theory of strength training, the stationary control training theory of technical movements, and personalized training theory, emphasizing qualitative and quantitative control of training. His approach incorporates a comprehensive feedback mechanism combining modern monitoring tools, athletes’ subjective input, and coaches’ experiential judgment to optimize training plans. Additionally, Chen advocates for constructing competition-specific training scenarios, enforcing strict discipline to maintain athletes’ training status, and prioritizing moral education to foster athletes’ character and sustainable career development.
