Abstract

This article focuses on Pete Crow-Armstrong, the Chicago Cubs center fielder who, at 24, is building on his first All-Star season in Major League Baseball. Known by the acronym PCA, Crow-Armstrong combines a flashy, attention-grabbing playing style with a rigorous, self-critical work ethic that has driven his development since youth baseball and through his early professional career. Despite early struggles adjusting to the majors, he achieved a historic 30-30 season in 2025, becoming only the second Cubs player to do so, and credits veteran teammates like Justin Turner for supporting his growth. Crow-Armstrong embraces his role as a team leader and fan favorite in Chicago, balancing confidence with introspection as he aims to help the Cubs advance further in postseason play.
