Abstract

Corbin Carroll, a player for the Arizona Diamondbacks, was named the 2023 NL Rookie of the Year. He had an impressive rookie season, becoming the first player in MLB history to hit 25 home runs, 25 doubles, 10 triples, and steal 50 bases. Carroll's success was unexpected, as he was initially drafted as a center fielder who would hit for a high average. However, he proved to be a powerful hitter despite his size.
