Abstract

The article focuses on a study examining environmental attention and cognitive responses during different path-based physical activities (PPAs) in greenways. Conducted by researchers from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, the study involved 26 participants whose eye movements were recorded while watching a video of a greenway during walking, jogging, and cycling. Findings revealed that while vegetation attracted the most attention across all activities, walkers showed a greater fixation on vegetation, joggers had a concentrated focus with fewer blinks, and cyclists were drawn to distant views and open water. The research highlights the importance of diverse landscapes in enhancing physical activity and psychological well-being. [Extracted from the article]
