Abstract

The National Association of Police Athletic/Activities Leagues (National PAL) has appointed Dr. Galen Duncan, a renowned sports clinician and former NCAA basketball star, to lead a nationwide mental health and wellness program for the nearly two million youth participating in National PAL programs. Dr. Duncan, who has extensive experience in sports medicine and substance abuse treatment, aims to develop innovative programs and initiatives to address the mental health needs of disadvantaged youth, particularly in the aftermath of the Covid pandemic.
