Abstract

The article introduces the latest issue of the Journal of Australian Strength and Conditioning (JASC), highlighting three original research studies focused on basketball, football, and netball. The first study, conducted by researchers from Texas State University, analyzes workload (WL) and intensity (WI) in NCAA Division 1 women basketball players, recommending increased WI in practice to enhance performance. The second study from Brisbane City Football Club and Queensland University of Technology examines position-specific demands in semi-professional football, suggesting tailored training approaches for different player roles. The final study assesses physical performance differences among female netball players across various participation levels, providing benchmarks for coaches to individualize training programs.
