Abstract
This article focuses on American snowboarder Red Gerard, who became the youngest Olympic snowboarding gold medalist at age 17 during the 2018 PyeongChang Games by winning the slopestyle competition. Since then, Gerard has continued to compete at a high level, winning back-to-back X Games slopestyle golds in 2024 and 2025 and earning a bronze medal in 2026, positioning himself as a leading figure in American men's snowboarding. Gerard credits his family, particularly his sister Tieghan Gerard, a successful food blogger and social media influencer, for inspiring his work ethic. Despite his growing prominence, Gerard maintains a relaxed approach to competition and celebrity, focusing on enjoying the sport and staying grounded.
