Abstract

A study conducted at the University of Burgos in Spain explored the use of a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach in teaching by incorporating soccer into the curriculum. The research aimed to analyze the impact of this approach on students' academic performance, with a focus on gender differences. The study found that the STEM unit implemented through soccer led to improved academic performance, particularly among female students. The methodology was positively received, although some challenges were encountered and resolved with the help of peers and teachers. [Extracted from the article]
