Abstract
The article focuses on a study investigating injury characteristics among Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) athletes in Italy, emphasizing the importance of understanding injury patterns, rehabilitation, and psychological readiness for returning to sport. Conducted by researchers from Universita Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, the study surveyed 360 participants, revealing that 92% reported at least one injury, predominantly affecting the knee during training. Key findings indicated that body mass index (BMI) and age were significant predictors of injury risk, while psychological readiness, particularly confidence in training without pain, influenced return-to-sport outcomes. The research suggests that machine learning models could help identify individual risk factors and inform injury prevention strategies. [Extracted from the article]
