Abstract

The article discusses a study conducted in Beijing, People's Republic of China, that explores the relationship between risk perception in mountaineering and participants' intentions to re-participate in the activity. The research, which involved 516 recreational mountaineers, found that risk perception negatively impacted both re-participation intention and the smooth experience of participants. Additionally, the study revealed that a positive smooth experience could enhance re-participation intention and that social support strengthens this relationship. The findings emphasize the importance of psychological experiences and social resources in encouraging ongoing engagement in mountaineering. [Extracted from the article]
