Sport throughout the centuries shows certain connections with religion. Its original form was related to beliefs, games and plays seem to be a more developed form of ancient rituals. A sports event is a phenomenon that infl uences a group of people, both participants and observers. A special example of sport's impact on humanity is the Olympic idea. Understood as the entirety of a sporting event's course, along with the ceremonies and rituals of the games, builds social functions that serve to strengthen the friendship of nations through athletes from around the world. Events such as ceremonies, rituals, festivals are considered part of the social experience.
