Abstract
This article focuses on Simone Biles, the most decorated gymnast in history, highlighting her athletic achievements and transformative impact on the sport of gymnastics. Biles has earned 30 world-championship medals, nine national all-around titles, and seven Olympic medals, and has introduced five new gymnastics moves named after her, including the unprecedented Yurchenko double pike vault. Beyond her technical contributions, Biles has influenced a cultural shift within U.S. gymnastics by promoting a more positive and supportive team environment. Her career has also been marked by resilience amid the USA Gymnastics sexual-abuse scandal involving former national-team doctor Larry Nassar, and she has become a prominent advocate for mental health awareness.
