Abstract
New York City is set to have its first professional soccer stadium after more than a decade of negotiations. The 25,000-seat venue, located in Queens near Citi Field, has gained land-use approval and is expected to be completed for the 2027 season. The stadium is part of a larger development in the Willets Point area, which includes affordable housing, a hotel, and public open space. The project is privately financed and will be the first fully-electric stadium in Major League Soccer. [Extracted from the article]
