Abstract

The article recalls the Kenilworth Gold Cup match race between thoroughbred horses Man o' War and Sir Barton at Kenilworth track near Windsor, Ontario on October 12, 1920. Topics include a description of the racetrack by reporters who attended the sports event, the odds of winning the race by Sir Barton who is owned by Commander J. K. L. Ross, the previous horse races won by Sir Barton such as the Kentucky Derby in 1919 and the Preakness Stakes, and the phenomenal status of regal Man o' War.
