Abstract
Swedish buyout firm Altor Equity Partners has agreed to purchase a majority stake in CCM Hockey, the maker of Tacks and JetSpeed hockey gear. The deal, expected to close by the end of the year, will see Altor acquire the business from Canada's Birch Hill Equity Partners Management. CCM is valued at C$500 million to C$600 million and will remain headquartered in Montreal. Altor was attracted to CCM for its innovative equipment and plans to focus on women's hockey and expanding into new markets. [Extracted from the article]
