Abstract

The Eloise Kruger Gallery of Miniatures, located on the eighth floor of Oldfather Hall at the University of Nebraska's city campus in Lincoln, Nebraska, houses a collection of over 20,000 miniatures. Eloise Kruger, a lifelong resident of Lincoln, began collecting miniatures in the 1930s and later commissioned furniture, accessories, and textile pieces from well-known miniaturists. The collection includes a variety of handcrafted textiles, such as embroidery, crochet, petit point, cross-stitch, quilting, handwoven rugs, and more. Currently, 20 room boxes with select pieces from the collection are on display for public viewing. The miniatures showcase diverse themes and can be enjoyed for their beauty, craftsmanship, and educational value. [Extracted from the article]
